Achieving optimal performance

Governance & Asset Management

At Quintessential Consulting, we take a big picture view, to understand how it all fits together, rather than focusing on the individual elements. We work with you to build holistic yet practical frameworks that you can use and embed into your business-as-usual practices.

A robust governance framework will positively influence how the objectives of the organisation are set and achieved, how risk is monitored and assessed, and how performance is optimised. Once implemented, it will better offer leaders and managers the clarity to make better decisions through a direct line of sight to the issues, a reconnection with the organisation’s purpose and a focus on their customers.

At Quintessential, we work with you to implement the asset management principles. This will aid in establishing your systems of governance, which will assist the key decision makers in appreciating and understanding how the various factors contribute to the ability of the asset to deliver value for the organisation.

Our governance and asset management services include:

  • Building governance systems to oversee the performance of organisation

  • Identifying the organisational assets, and those factors that enable the asset to deliver value, in both tangible and intangible ways

  • Understanding the systemic risk factors that occur as the accumulation of discrete risks

  • Designing and implementing asset management programs in accordance with ISO55001 – tailoring it to be best fit for the organisation to ensure the integrity of the asset through its lifecycle

These key principles relate to the rules, relationships, systems and processes that enable organisations and decision makers to:

  • Monitor and assess risk

  • Optimise performance

  • Create value

  • Provide accountability

The practical application of these principles is based upon being able to manage these 4 key elements using the scope of data and information that is currently collected and monitored.

Testimonials

I have known Pat for approximately 20 years, initially meeting when working at Boeing, then moving to Eurocopter and staying in contact ever since. I
have found Pat to be one of those rare individuals who uses a personal touch to achieve technical outcomes. Pat’s strengths lay in his broad technical background and experience, coupled with genuine empathy and ability to develop high-performing teams.

Andrew, Head of Customer Support, Airbus Asia Pacific

I recently worked closely with Patrick during the development and delivery of the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) funded Australia Awards Fellowship Program entitled, ‘Responding to Skilled Worker Demand: Improving Quality, Leadership and Management of TVET’ in Vietnam. Throughout the delivery of this Fellowship Program Patrick was responsible for facilitating training activities in the areas of transformational leadership, personal leadership, leading teams, project management and change management. Patrick did an outstanding job in this position demonstrating his agility in effectively and efficiently responding to emerging challenges as well as contextualizing training content to meet the needs of his audience, in this case senior leaders from Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction.

David, International Development Office of Queensland University of Technology
